Brockenhurst College has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their dedicated and enthusiastic team based in Brockenhurst. You will be working on a full-time basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of 29,628 to 34,351 per annum. We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.   The Role As a business development and skills professional, you will work with employers across all industries and sectors, you will provide support, advice and guidance to business customers, providing an effective ‘one front door’ experience for employers looking to recruit, train and grow an effective workforce with Brockenhurst College. This role will focus on maximising employer relationships and responding to the business growth and income generation priorities of the College. Key responsibilities as our Business Development Manager:   – To research and identify potential partnerships with corporates, state agencies, foundations and other funding bodies to support key College priorities. – To understand employer training needs relative to specific industrial sectors providing professional skills advice. – Motivate employers to develop partnerships, maximising funding streams across the College including commercial revenue, and create opportunities for Brockenhurst College learners. – Manage an existing portfolio of strategic employer accounts, managing relationships with key stakeholders, building long-term relationships. – To provide a high-quality and professional interface in support of the Colleges engagement and business development activities. – Proactively seek creative opportunities to promote the portfolio of College services to potential employers. – To ensure all business development activities are efficiently captured on our internal databases (CRM) and reporting tools. – To help develop high quality and effective external marketing materials that articulate LSE’s offer to partners and support academics in their outreach activities. – To capture case studies and best practice examples to share internally and externally to promote the Colleges corporate engagement activities.   Key skills and requirements needed to become our Business Development Manager: – Be able to manage staff effectively in terms of; Motivation, Leadership & Performance – Be able to manage resources effectively – Be able to set and manage budgets – The ability to manage change effectively – Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of sales/business development – Knowledge and understanding of the further education sector – Proven understanding of the regional skills agenda, including key industries – Excellent communication skills Benefits of becoming our Business Development Manager:   – Access to onsite Gym, Tennis/Badminton courts, Football pitches (indoor & out) – Weekly staff Yoga and Football – On-site Nursery offers childcare at superb rates in and outside of term time – Enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme – Free eye care vouchers – Free secure onsite parking – Access to a range of discounts including shopping, travel and healthcare – 25 days leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff) – An option to purchase further leave through our Annual Leave Purchase Scheme (Support Staff only) – Access to our Employee Assistance Programme provided externally to the College.
