Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Workshop Assistant to join the team. Location: American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, Lancing Salary: Salary dependant on skills & experience Hours: 40 hours per week to worked flexibly over 5 days to include evenings and weekends Job Type: Permanent Deadline Day: 14th October 2021 Who are Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club? Grounds Workshop Assistant – The Role: Are you solution minded with great attention to detail and a passion for agricultural engineering? Then come and play your part at the Albion! This is a fantastic opportunity to join our hardworking grounds maintenance team and support our workshop manager in the day-to-day management of the grounds team machinery and equipment. Grounds Workshop Assistant – Key Responsibilities: Your day-to-day duties will include all aspects of servicing, repairs and maintenance of the grounds department machinery and you’ll be required to carry out administration in relation to the work carried out to ensure records are kept up to date. The role will be varied to include carrying out work at our elite training ground, world-class stadium and other Club associated grounds and facilities. We need a team player as in busy periods you may be required to work alongside the grounds team to carry out pitch maintenance work! Grounds Workshop Assistant – You: It is desirable for the successful candidate to hold the following qualifications: – Agricultural engineering technician level 2 certification or equivalent – N.P.T.C. PA1 certificate in pesticide usage or prepared to receive this training – Certification in the use of industrial/rough terrain truck operation or prepared to receive this training – Qualified first aider and/or have received training in other first aid techniques The ideal candidate will be a member of the Grounds Manager Association, but don’t worry if you aren’t as the Club can support your membership! You will also need to be willing to undertake a basic DBS CRC (criminal background check) if successful. Grounds Workshop Assistant – Treat People Well – Exceed Expectations – Aim High.
